Argumentative Essay

Children's Actions and Relationships

Change of emotions, adolescence, and growth, these things are to be expected when a child is about to grow up and reach adolescence. And when a child is growing they will discover various things using the internet. A vital role in broadening teen social connections is a social networking and these connections allow them to learn valuable technical skills. Teen's developing brains are vulnerable to so much time online, and teens have difficulty self-regulating their time on screen, risks also increase and make them more susceptible to cyberbullying, peer pressure, and sexting which have a huge impact on the young mind (Admin, 2019). The impact of how the media influences people especially teens who still have developing brains is quite large.

People especially teenagers and people with growing brains should carefully monitor what they see and what they should see. During adolescence, The area on which the nerve cells sit (the grey matter) is slowly shrinking, whilst the wiring between the nerve cells (the white matter) is still growing. This indicates that the brain is changing and that the brain is still getting rid of irrelevant and reinforcing what is important, and refining their functions and connections (Misha K.,2021). The brain at this point is still developing and various other functions and memories are being sorted on which is more important and which is bound to be used more. When teenagers are browsing on the internet it can change their worldview and may conflict with what he knows and maybe know too much.

As much as how valuable information some information must not be accessed to some people at a certain age and responsibility is a must on the internet. Kids that encounter more sexual content on the television, the earlier they initiate sexual activity, and when they do initiate they are likely to have regrets on their experiences, and unplanned pregnancy is more likely (Pete W.,2013). It is best to be more careful of said experiences as people seeing it might attempt to follow said experiences as they how the people react and assume it might turn out the same and they will regret it and might even affect their mental state quite a bit.

The effect the social media and the internet on the impact of the teen's growing brain cannot be understated. The internet shapes the way we view certain things and can either help us or challenge our world views which some may find uncomfortable. The internet changes the way information is presented and can supply us with abundant information or poison us with false knowledge and propaganda by governments and by companies. One must discipline themselves when encountering with such knowledge, the internet is such a bizarre thing that even people of the old days could not imagine such information that can be accessed by nearly anyone who has access to these devices which is already widespread.
