DILG Persuasive Writing

The Philippines like all other nations has a government, not one person or group controls the entire country. The government is made up of other governing bodies to cooperate and do specific roles for the government to function. Different branches of the government do different things and DILG is one of them. DILG is an important branch of the government as it is responsible for the allocation of funds and such so that each province or municipality will get their fair share. And one of those responsibilities is to uphold consumer law as consumer law is a universal right to all Filipinos and as part of the government they have to serve the people as that is the job of the government.

Now when you need to organize events and such in your area, you cannot just do it willy nilly. You need to coordinate with the DILG first as you cannot just organize events and expect to be able to do it immediately as there are other places that also might need funds. Imagine, you use your funds to organize a party even when a place might be on fire. God forbid. The DILG is there to prevent such scenarios. It makes sure that every single municipality and barangay and others in its jurisdiction try to budget themselves properly and redistribute is necessary. With that in mind, the DILG also helps uphold consumer law by making sure that the governing bodies of the local area also uphold said law. As some corrupt officials use funds to destroy other businesses which may interfere with the businesses the corrupt officials own. And it is the job of the DILG to take away the funding and to redistribute and provide adequate punishment to the offenders. And because of that people can safely enjoy their products and not be afraid of officials who just seek to use them as the DILG is there to uphold the law and protect the rights of the people.

The DILG also helps people in natural disasters as one of the roles of DILG is to ensure public safety to minimize casualties and to protect the land. It helps manage disasters by allocating funds necessary to the local governing bodies of the areas struck by calamities and by doing so helps people greatly. Obviously DILG is not the only one helping with natural calamities. All branches are expected to help in their own way. We literally have NDRRMC who is specifically made to handle disasters. Though DILG helps a lot as they allocate funds which they NDRRMC uses to help protect the environment and the people. The DILG also makes sure to uphold consumer law and to help businesses and consumers after an event or during a calamity, as the people cannot prevent natural disasters without businesses consumers cannot buy goods. And in this day in age people are mostly reliant on purchasing items from their nearby store as farms and similar areas are quite far as the urban areas grow greater and less farmland. The government especially the DILG cares for the people and it does whatever it can to support the people and for the people to access the necessities which they can purchase at the local businesses.

Obviously, at this point, you now realize what the DILG does and that is to allocate funds now how do they strengthen governing bodies? Obviously, by allocating funds the DILG does its utmost best to allocate funds to local governments that are in need of said funds so that they may also uphold consumer rights. The funds allocated by the DILG to the local governments help strengthen local governments that are in need of funds. Obviously, service is not for free and they also need to pay workers and such and by receiving funds that are possible to do so as without funds people cannot work as they need money for their basic needs and without money they cannot just waste their energy for nothing. And without paid workers, they are left with volunteers and some of them may not have the experience to do so as they are only citizens who wish to help other people which you as a citizen should also do so. And the environment around them might deteriorate, especially if they need to focus the funds more on the people.

So in conclusion the DILG helps greatly in maintaining the status quo and upholding consumer rights and the rights of the citizenry by not only allocating funds but also reinforcing policies that help strengthen local governments to govern autonomously. And without the DILG people will not receive the proper funding as they should have received and some places may even receive more funding than others despite not needing them because they have power. So it is greatly appreciated that people recognize these people more as without them their local government may not have the funds to support them and may not be able to uphold their rights without proper support. As it is also our duty as the citizenry to cooperate with the government within the law and within our rights to do so.
