Filipino Pride and Independence "Gathering of Heroes" is a painting painted by Juan Torres, he is quite new in the artist in the scene and is growing quite steadily and is apparently head and shoulders with the big Filipino artists. The painting depicts people parading in the streets of presumabably the Philippines as it is Philippine themed. The people on the paintins are not just random people that Juan Torres drew but are actual literal heroe of the Philippines as the name of the art work implies. The painting includes Tandang Sora at the middle wearing a traditional Filipiniana dress as usual, Jose Rizal at the far right wearing a western inspired suit as he always does, and presumabably Heneral Luna at the far left. Though there are many much more people in the painting I could not recognize all of them. The flags they are holding is obvioulsy the Philippine Flag and they wave it high in the air with pride.
